The "liquid gold" of Greece, gets… gold in Japan
First among the best varieties of Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) all around the world has been announced Olix Oil’s Koroneiki variety, labeled as “Koroneiki”. The company, which standardizes and exports extra virgin and virgin olive oil, lampante, crude kernel, pomace olive oil and Greek superfoods ever since 2011, thanks to its unique quality has managed to stand out in JOOP (Japan Olive Oil Prize). The competition takes place every year in Tokyo, since 2013.
Apart from the first place, Olix Oil has been awarded with one more important distinction in the competition. Olix Oil’s Manaki variety, labeled as “Aphea” won the silver medal in the Monocultivar category.
Both Koroneiki and Manaki variety’s origins are from selected olive groves in Peloponnese. Olix Oil’s team and its specialized associates, following centuries of tradition, collect Greek nature’s gift, standardize it and export it to all 6 continents. The main feature of the company's philosophy is the emphasis on excellence in all phases of the process - from production and standardization to export and delivery – protecting and preserving the taste, the quality and the history of Greece’s olive oil.
